Hello! So sorry for the long delay. I have been extremely busy with my business and so have decided to put this into hold mode. I have no problem keeping it online in hopes it helps new readers and might come back to it in the future, but for now it is just going to glide. 🙂
My New Thing Is the Prolon Fast Mimicking Diet!
One thing I’m excited about is the research by Valter Longo, PhD and others on the power of fasting to heal the body naturally. I am hopeful it will help lymphatic issues too, but there’s no research specifically on that. But watch this space, and if I start seeing differences in my swelling from it, I’ll let you know. My leg had been great with very little swelling so, so far so good. I’ve done 3 rounds of this prolon. You can research it here: https://prolonlife.com/. And, there’s a ton of great information coming out from research studies on fasting in general, which you can find in many locations. It’s fascinating!
Negative Experience with Creatine
Then again I always seem to not want to leave well enough alone. I decided to try something new: creatine. I’m almost 60 now and reading about losing muscle mass as an older woman and there’s some strong research it can help you counter that. Well, I would say its a huge AVOID for lymphedema. I took it for 30 days. About 20 days into it I felt my leg swelling a bit, but stupid me, ignored it. Well 10 more days and it was bugging me. Fortunatley not too much swelling, but some of those old symptoms like pins and needles, leg pain, heaviness, etc. Needless to say I stopped and hope it will go back to where it was, but I would definitely warn against using it. It does pull more fluid into your muscles so duh, I guess it would increase swelling.
Otherwise I continue to love my red light panel, that helps and continue to do everything else on my blog. I have not had to do chinese herbs again so things are good other than my situation with creatine, which was completely my own fault.
Anyway, hope this finds you in good health. Feel free to comment on the blog as I do (usually, not always) get alerted and happy to answer quick questions here or there.
Take care and stay healthy!
